MANNA Announces New Executive Director

The MANNA Board of Directors has announced that Susan Daugherty, RD, LDN will become the sixth Executive Director on October 1, 2012. She is the first MANNA Executive Director to rise from within the ranks.

Susan began her tenure at MANNA over 12 years ago as a nutritionist, counseling clients and monitoring their progress. Promoted to Director of Nutrition and Client Services, Sue was instrumental in executing the pilot program with Abramson Cancer Center which led to expanding MANNA services to include all life-threatening illnesses. As the organization grew, Sue became the Chief Operating Officer and has proven to be a successful leader. She has a strong passion and dedication to MANNA's mission and clients, and is committed to the staff and our volunteers. Sue has served as a board member for ANSA (Association of Nutrition Service Agencies), an international association of food and nutrition service providers. Sue also traveled to Namibia - Southern Africa where she worked to develop a sustainable food/nutrition program for Hope Initiatives, a program working with orphans and vulnerable children living in squatter settlements. Sue is the ideal leader for MANNA as it continues the journey to be the nutrition healthcare leader in our region.

Richard Keaveney will leave the position of Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2012 and be an advisor to the new Executive Director and the MANNA Board of Directors until the end of December.
