Barbara Gittings Way Dedication in Philadelphia
"Barbara Gittings Way" was dedicated today in Philadelphia at 13th & Locust Streets. The "Mother of Gay Rights" is the 3rd gay pioneer to be immortalized by a street naming in the U.S. Both Frank Kameny (Washington, D.C.) and Harvey Milk (San Francisco) had street named in their honor previously.
