Philly Mayor Signs Nation's Strongest LGBT Rights Legislation Into Law

Philadelphia's Mayor Michael Nutter signed the strongest LGBT rights legislation into law yesterday. Philadelphia is now the first big city in the U.S. to offer tax credits to companies that extend the same health care coverage to LGBT employees' life partners and their children as they already provide to heterosexual spouses and their children.

Nutter is accompanied by from left, Rue Landau, Executive Director of Commission on Human Relations, Gloria Casarez Director of LGBT Affairs, Councilman Mark Squilla, Councilman James Kenney, and state Rep. Brian Sims D-Philadelphia.
