The Philadelphia Mr. Gay competition is Philadelphia's premier one day event - garnering more press and celebrity than any other event in the region.  The winner will go on to the U.S. Nationals and represent Philadelphia in the competition.

Airfare and hotel at the U.S. National competition will be provided to the winner by the producer.

Philadelphia Mr. Gay Prizes:
Winner: A trip for two (airfare and hotel) to Fort Lauderdale, spa package from Ettore Spa and Salon, & $300 spa gift basket.
Category Winners: $300 spa gift basket
Contestants: $100 spa gift basket

Rules for the Philadelphia

Mr. Gay competitors.

-The Contestant must be 18 years of age by the date of the competition.

-The Contestant must self-identify as a gay or bi-sexual male and sign a Release Form that assigns rights to all images including film of his participation in the contest series to Community Promotions & Nightlifegay.com.
  
-The Delegate is not currently in open criminal proceedings, on felony probation and does not have a felony record.

-Contestant must provide attire for the following competitions: Evening wear and swimwear - both of the contestants choosing. 

-Photograph for pre and post promotions. 

-Biography 

-Contestants may participate in the contest from any region of the country. 

-Contestants must report to Gershwin Hall by 5:00 p.m. the night of the event. 

Requirements of the Philadelphia Mr. Gay winner.

-The Philadelphia Mr. Gay winner is required to make at least two public appearances on the behalf of Nightlifegay.com.

-All public appearances by the Philadelphia Mr. Gay are approved and booked through Bruce Yelk and Nightlifegay.com.

Both the US and the International Mr. Gay (IMG) Competitions are produced annually by Community Promotions, LLC, which also holds the trademark for Mr. Gay.
 
The US Mr. Gay Competition will be in October 25, 2008 in Los Angeles, and the IMG Competition dates will be announced soon.
 
These two separate competitions occur over a three to four day period typically beginning with a 'Welcome Dinner' on Thursday and ending on a Sunday.
 
Men who win their US City Contests become Finalists in the US Mr. Gay Competition.
 
Men who win their nation's Finals become Delegates and represent their country during the International Mr. Gay (IMG) Competition.
 
If there is not a licensed producer in either a US city or a nation, then the IMG Certification Committee is free to appoint a contestant to represent his city or country.
 
The Certification Committee has the responsibility of assuring that our Contestants meet our standards for appearance, conform to our rules (see above) and have or will submit the requested information and photographs to conform to our website presentation for all Contestants.
 
To establish a file, all contestants will be required to submit headshots (either bust and/or torso) and full body photographs plus information outlined below as a short biography.
 
Completed files for both US and International Competitions will be forwarded to the appropriate licensed producer.
 
Contestant information and photographs submitted after each producer's deadline may be eligible for participation in the 2008 Competition.
